Ministry Objectives
The
Family Advancement Ministry, "The
FAM" desires to provide ongoing learning, development and fellowship
opportunities to family members including infants to senior adults, within the
church and community, single or married families to:
Know Christ as Savior according to
the Scriptures (II Timothy 3:15, I Corinthians 15:3-4)
Grow in grace through study of God's
Word by the aid of Holy Spirit (II Peter 3:18, Luke 2:40)
Show godly principles in practice
(Titus 2:6-8, I Peter 2:9)
The
following Ministries are included in the Family Advancement Ministry:
- Youth/Young Adult Ministries
- Church School
- Media and Communications (MAC)
- Vacation
Bible School
- Athletic
Ministry
Area of Focus
* Equipping
the Members through Bible Study Programs and Training
The Family Advancement
Ministry coordinates Christian
Education material used throughout the church, facilitates teacher preparation,
and facilitates Bible Exploration and Youth Connection.
* Building Leaders through Edification
The Family Advancement Ministry
combines practical bible teaching and ministry leaders’ conferences to support
the leadership of the church.
* Building the Family Unit
Involving more senior adults in
ministry to their families and to the younger generations in the church through
mentoring is facilitated through this ministry.
Also included is the equipping of married couples, parents, and singles
to be dynamic and dedicated in carrying out God's will for their lives. The FAM supports recreational events,
athletic events, and special worship events.
* Media Advancement in Evangelism
Through
the Media and Communications ministry, the FAM utilizes various forms of media
to share the gospel message with the lost, and connect members and visitors
with church ministries.
